Min Trevor Kyi, OT, CWCE, CDA, DipFCE

Min Trevor Kyi is an occupational therapist who practices largely in the field of Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE). He is the Director of Functional Outcomes Rehabilitation Services Inc. He is a current and active member of CAOT and COTBC regulation bodies, licensed to practice by the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia.

In addition to his role as Director of Functional Outcomes, Mr. Kyi is a Clinical Associate Professor with the University of British Columbia, Faculty of Medicine, Department of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy. He has also obtained a post-graduate diploma through the University of Florida in Functional Capacity Evaluation. He is a Senior Disability Analyst and Diplomate with the American Board of Disability Analysts.

Mr. Kyi was the first non-physician recipient of the Faculty of Medicine Award for outstanding clinical teacher at the University of British Columbia. He has lectured extensively in the arena of Functional Capacity Evaluation and Ergonomics, throughout the United States, Canada, Asia, and Europe.

He taught the International (Matheson) Certified Work Capacity EvaluatorTM certification program for over a decade. He has also trained and certified in various other FCE systems used both nationally and internationally. Mr. Kyi is a certified EPIC Lift Capacity Evaluator, having completed both student and instructor levels of education regarding this apparatus and strength-specific testing. He is a Certified AMPS Evaluator, trained in the Assessment of Motor and Process Skills through the Center for Innovated OT Solutions. He currently teaches an international training seminar, entitled Masters Series: Advanced FCE Training, teaching courses both in Canada and Internationally.

Mr. Kyi is a qualified expert witness, having provided supreme court testimony in the fields of Functional Capacity Evaluation, Ergonomics, Brain Injury, and Occupational Therapy on numerous occasions. He is an active and contributing member of the Clinical Research Consortium for brain injury with representatives from government, private practice, and the military.
